Winter Walks

Miss seeing your PRLC friends in person? We’re offering another round of walks this Winter season that will give you a chance to say hi face-to-face, or at least mask to mask! The series kicks off with a Saturday after Thanksgiving stroll around Lake Union, aka The Cheshiahud Loop. We’ll gather at 10:00am on November 28 at Gasworks Park at the Stone Structure (by the concession stand/restrooms at northwest corner of play barn) and head out for our longest “officially sanctioned” PRLC stroll to date—six miles. As always with these walks, non-PRLC family and friends are encouraged to attend, and it is a drop-in group, so attend as few or as many of the walks as you are able and interested. Dogs on leashes are also welcomed to walk with us.

The rest of the walks will be much shorter (1.5 mi or less), and will take place every Sunday evening in December, starting at 5:30pm. We will be strolling through some of the Seattle area’s Christmas Lights greatest hits, including Olympic Manor and Candy Cane Lane, rain or shine. Do you have a favorite Christmas light neighborhood you’d like to walk in / plan a route for? Please let me know! Get as creative as you want with the ideas; on occasion we’ve had folks plan walks near their house and offer post stroll refreshments for example. If you plan the route, I’ll take care of publicity and other details.

To find out the location of each walk, and get parking and other walk-specific information, please email me so I can add you to the distribution list. I look forward to walking with you this Winter! – Don Boelter
