Matt McKenzie, PRLC Preschool Director

Matt McKenzie has been a part of the PRLC community since 2008, when he began as a preschool teacher. His passion for working with young kids and his love of the Phinney/Greenwood neighborhood made PRLC an easy choice when deciding where to lay down roots. Born and raised in the Seward Park neighborhood, Matt is a Seattle native and a 3rd generation Seattleite. He and his wife Katie have two children, Cam (3) and Maya (1), who both attend PRLC Preschool. Matt is passionate about creating systems to ensure every child gets the best start in life and is equipped with the skills and tools they need to thrive. He also strives to create community and collective vision with the teachers; fostering a space in which everyone has a voice. When he isn’t working, Matt loves spending time with his family, exploring in nature, playing sports, and cooking.
