Needed: School Supplies for Compass Housing Alliance Families

Since school will likely be in person this Fall, our friends at Compass Housing Alliance have requested that we help provide school supplies for the many children living in CHA facilities.  PRLC has been a long-time supporter of CHA, formerly the two separate organizations of Compass and the Lutheran Alliance to Create Housing (LATCH).  This is a particularly challenging year for the families who are full of apprehension about reconnecting after a year-and-a-half of pandemic isolation, mask-wearing, social distancing and just fear about what the future will be.  So new school supplies will help these children face the overwhelming reality of returning to school. There is a box labeled "School Supplies for CHA" in the narthex, and I invite you and your families to donate generously, as you always do.  Here's what CHA says the children need:

• Sound canceling headphones

• Wide-ruled notebooks

• Two-pocket folders

• Scissors

• Glue sticks

• Packs of sticky notes

• Washable markers

• Colored pencils

• Pencil sharpeners
