February 2021: Vicar Update

            It’s hard to believe that I have already been at Phinney Ridge for six months! This has certainly not been the internship year that I was expecting thanks to COVID-19, but I am grateful for all of the care and support that I have received from this congregation, despite the challenges, and for all the ways that we are still able to be church together. Even in a pandemic, our ministries have not stopped! I have loved being able to preach and lead worship, lead and participate in small groups, volunteer in the Food Bank, and walk alongside all of you at Phinney. We have often joked that my internship year is preparing me for everything besides a “typical” Sunday morning and I never thought I would ever feel this much like a televangelist! I hope and look forward to the days to come in the future when we will be able to gather in person for worship and I am able to visit with more of you. Until that time, I would still love to visit with you all via Zoom, a phone call, or a socially-distanced and masked outdoor gathering.
