5:30-6:00 p.m., Room 301

Wednesday evening projects and activities are planned, keeping in mind the particular interests and abilities of each class.  Classes give elementary children an age-appropriate opportunity to share their faith and look more deeply into the treasures of the Scripture, as it applies to their lives.  One of the most precious gifts we can give our 3rd-5th grade students is an opportunity to reflect on how much they have grown and how faithful God has been as they make the transition from grade school to middle school.

3rd-5th grade students…

  • Live out their faith in community.  These midweek classes bring us together, despite the hustle and bustle of everyday life, to really get to know one another.
  • Live life in the rhythm of the liturgical calendar, growing and learning about the seasons of faith.
  • Ask tough questions: BFJ students have a safe place to share the struggles and triumphs of faith formation.
  • Strengthen ties with our community beyond the walls of PRLC.  Community service is a component of our program.  In the past we have packed lunches for the homeless and turned art projects into gifts for friends in the hospital.

The 3rd-5th grade class meets early in the evening, as students are rushing from various places.  This class is therefore geared at a pace that makes use of every minute–you don’t want to miss it!
