OPPORTUNITY FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS TO TRAVEL TO TANZANIA IN 2020

Informational Meeting Sunday July 21, 11:30, Fellowship Hall

The Ailanga Lutheran Junior Seminary in the Arusha Region of Tanzania is a secondary school primarily supported by four churches in Seattle: University, Maple Leaf, Faith, and Prince of Peace Lutheran Churches. These congregations have sent many delegations of youth and adults to visit the school over the years. Each delegation raises funds to cover their own trip and to provide a sizeable donation that keeps the school running.

The opportunity to visit in Summer 2020 is now being made available to high school students who will be finishing 10th or 11th grade next year (so if you’ve just wrapped up your freshman or sophomore year, that’s YOU!). A member of the Ailanga School Project Board will be here at PRLC on Sunday, July 21, to tell us more about this opportunity. All eligible students and their families are encouraged to attend this meeting. And, if we do send students from PRLC, our whole congregation will be invited into the fundraising process, so even if you don’t have an eligible student in your home, please feel free to come learn more about this opportunity. Contact Pastor Van Kley if you have questions.
