We hear a lot about the dangers of the border, about the people who live there and about those who come here for a new life. For spring break this year, six students and the priest and pastor from The Sanctuary at UW went to the El Paso/Juarez region to take a deep dive into learning about life on the border and immigration through a program with Iglesia Luterana Cristo Rey in El Paso. They would like to share what they saw, heard and learned with the community — stories of struggle, hope, and faith alongside facts about what life on the border is like. They will serve a light dinner of tamales and salad ($5 suggested donation, give as you can). For more information about the trip and a preview of the stories, visit their website.
