My name is Corey Golden, and currently I serve as vice-president of our church council. I’ve been a part of council since July 2014. I initially joined council during our transition from Pastor Hoffman to Pastor Hansen because I was concerned about the change and wanted to make sure the church was going on a path that made sense to me. Although council is a substantial time commitment, I can’t tell you how rewarding it has been to see how engaged our members are and how we as a congregation serve God in our community.
My husband Hunter and I have been members at PRLC since 2009 — we joined shortly after we moved back to Seattle from Washington, DC. We went through The WAY with Pastor Paul Hoffman and Pastor Bev Piro in 2008/2009. Our two children – Peter and Erin – are currently going through confirmation classes at PRLC. This congregation has always been welcoming to our family and is an anchor in our lives.
Professionally, I am the regional Chief Financial Officer for the Latin America, Africa and Caribbean sales team at Boeing Commercial Airplanes. At PRLC our family is active in Bread for the Journey, as acolytes and lectors, serving on the council, and auditing the church financial statements.
If you have any questions or concerns or if you’re interested in being a part of the church council, I’m more than happy to talk with you.
